The origin of our vineyard dates back to the dawn of the first millennium when the Roman legions of

the emperor Julius Caesar’s installed a large oppidum on a 250m high plateau overlooking the right

bank of Rhone river. This was also the period when Romans spread the culture of wine, growing

vines on the hillsides. Some amphorae decorated with vines were found on the site.

Nowadays, this plateau is recognized as a major archaeological site called Caesar’s Camp. Maison Sinnae

has its origins from this camp that is dominating the villages of Laudun and Chusclan, as it was the scene

of Ceasar’s love affair with his first wife Cornelia Sinnae, symbolized by mosaic found on the site.

It’s a love story that resonates in our terroirs. Made of passionate winemakers who continue to write

the history with humility, Maison Sinnae is driven by the desire to give body, soul and elegance to

our wines and to transmit a rich heritage to future generations.

A NAME WITH STRONG IDENTITY

Maison Sinnae, « Maison » means house. It brings people together. A place,

a unity. The passing on to younger generations. A reassuring element.

A word that conveys expertise and quality.

A woman, « Sinnae », for a nod to the history of our terroirs, but also to

embody the finesse and sensuality of our wines. And also because today,

half of the employees are women at Maison Sinnae.

A brand signature « Terroirs, a soul ». Without terroirs, Maison Sinnae would

not exist, and without a unique soul, the common ambition would not be expressed. Each cuvée is the reflection of the know-how of the men

who work together, putting all their soul into it.

THE TERROIRS OF LAUDUN AND CHUSCLAN

LAUDUN
The wines are set on stony or gravelly slopes, in poor soils,
that allow excellent drainage. The climate is Mediterranean,
influenced by the never-ending Mistral wind. This terroir
gives to our wines great aromatic richness and exceptional
freshness.

CHUSCLAN
A terroir of stony slopes and terraces with sandy zones. A
varied geology made up or marly limestone, sandstone and
alluvial deposits. The influence of a mild and dry climate
and the Mistral wind play a major role in creating ample and
generous wines.
